Virginia Weller Morris

Virginia "Ginny" Weller Morris, age 75 of Nashville, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 1st, surrounded by her beloved family and her faithful granddog, Fynn. Ginny was born on August 2, 1951, in Nashville to the late Myra and William Weller.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelcy Morris; her brother, Allen Weller (Buni); niece, Denise Weller Hinson (Steve); niece, Dana Weller Alford (Scott); nephew, Damon Weller (Debbie); great nieces and nephews Madison, Luke, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Evan; and godson Victor. Ginny also leaves behind many other loving family members and cherished friends.

Ginny attended MTSU, where she earned her bachelor's degree. She then dedicated her career to the Tennessee Valley Authority where she formed lasting relationships and was known for her kindness, empathy, and sense of humor.

She loved being a Nashville native and could often be found giving friends and family historical tours of the city she called home. A woman of faith, she carried her beliefs with quiet grace and let them guide the way she loved others. She was adventurous at heart, always up for a new place to see and a new road to travel. In her younger years, she loved skiing, scuba diving, and theme parks, especially Opryland. She cherished long walks on the beach and never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved Tennessee Titans. She delighted in a good day of shopping, never met an animal she didn't love, and came alive at family gatherings, where she was happiest surrounded by the people she loved most.

She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kelcy. She and Kelcy loved exploring the world together, going on adventures, experiencing different cultures, and making memories that Kelcy will treasure forever. Whether they were cuddling koalas in Australia, exploring the whitewashed villages of Greece, or snorkeling with sea turtles in Kauai, they always made sure to find time to share a sunset together.

Ginny was a beautiful soul and a light to everyone who knew her. She was fun-loving, warm, and endlessly kind. She will be remembered by all as a woman whose warmth made you feel like family from the moment you met her, and whose empathy had a way of making everyone around her feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her sense of humor and joy for life stayed with her through her final years, bringing laughter, love, and light to the people around her.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 4th for family and friends.
