Taylor Tucker DeVore

May 31, 1982 — Oct 2, 2026

Nashville, TN

Taylor Tucker DeVore, 44, passed away on October 2, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by family, due to complications from a congenital heart defect.

Born May 3, 1982, in Northbrook, Illinois, Taylor was the second child of Tammi DeVore.

Taylor spent much of his early life in the greater Washington, D.C., area and many summers visiting his grandparents in Augusta, Georgia. After graduating from high school in 2000, he enrolled at the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

He met Dana Christine Bastiaans in October 2006, and the two were married in Austin, Texas, on October 5, 2012. They settled in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle before moving to Issaquah, Washington, in 2015. Taylor became a parent to Dana’s son, Riley Losleben, whom he loved and cherished as his own. They also adopted a Boston Terrier named Ritter in 2015.

In 2019, Taylor, Dana, and Ritter moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

Taylor was always someone with an opinion and someone who had a deep interest in many topics. He took his son to numerous museums and historical sites as a way to get out and see new things. He and Dana also traveled the world together, visiting Spain, Thailand, and Botswana in an effort to learn more about the world.

As his health issues worsened and he was able to do fewer of the things he enjoyed, he still found a way to take up new hobbies, such as watching movies and fishing.

Taylor was beyond special. He was extraordinarily loyal and treasured his friendships from across the years. He will be deeply missed.

Taylor is survived by his mother, Tammi DeVore; his brother, Trent (and spouse, Stephanie); and his nieces, Avery and Kelsey. He is also survived by his wife of 14 years, Dana DeVore, and his son, Riley Losleben.

Donations in Taylor’s name can be made to the Adult Congenital Heart Assoc. https://www.achaheart.org/get-involved/donate/give-to-acha/ or to your local animal shelter.
