Susan Filaroski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Susan was born on August 11, 1942, in Concord, New Hampshire. She was raised in Bow, New Hampshire, by her parents Dudridge and Helen Wheeler, alongside her brothers Fredrick, Wesley, and Robert. She graduated from Concord High School and carried those early values of family, faith, and hard work with her for the rest of her life.
On October 2, 1965, she married Paul. They spent 60 years together building a life centered on commitment, faith, and showing up for each other every day.
Susan was a God fearing woman who lived with real grace. She believed life is not about deeds but about grace, and she lived that belief. She did not judge, she did not divide, and she did not make things complicated. She loved her family equally and fully. Each person mattered to her. No one was overlooked. No one was second.
From 1988 to 1998, Susan worked at UNUM Insurance. She was dependable and steady, someone people could count on.
She is survived by her husband Paul; her children Steve and Cathy DeRocchi, Jim and Heather Filaroski, and Mark Filaroski; Michelle Filaroski (Dear Family Friend) her grandchildren Taylor, Seth, Alek, and Brooke; and her three great grandchildren.
To her family, she was everything steady and good. She was the one who showed what love looks like in real life, day in and day out. In the way she treated people, in the way she showed up, and in the way she loved without conditions. She would want you to carry that part of her throughout your own life, through your remaining days on this earth.
