Ralph E. Rogers, age 98, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026. Born on July 10, 1927, in Sale Creek, Tennessee, Ralph lived a life defined by faith, hard work, love for his family, and service to his country.
Ralph was the son of the late Leola and J. Fred Rogers. A proud World War II veteran, he honorably served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. Following his military service, Ralph devoted more than 30 years of his career to Chevrolet Manufacturing, where his strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his years of service.
After retirement, Ralph and his beloved wife, Joyce, returned to Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, where together they built the home that became a cherished gathering place for family. Their home was filled with laughter, especially from their grandchildren, who treasured every visit with their Papa. Above all else, Ralph was a loving father and devoted grandfather whose quiet strength, kindness, and steadfast presence will be deeply missed.
A man of deep faith, Ralph was a charter member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy and a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith guided his life and was reflected in the way he cared for his family and community.
Ralph is survived by his loving children, Jeffrey Rogers and Jan (Scott) Sliger; and his cherished grandchildren, Rebecca (Aaron) Shantz, Tyler Rogers, Lauren (Terry) Baldree, and Kyle Rogers.
He was preceded in death by Joycelyn, his beloved wife of 49 years and 10 months; his parents, Leola and J. Fred Rogers; his sister, Freda Jo (Tom) McEwen; seven sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and their spouses; and his father- and mother-in-law, Peter and Elizabeth Smith.
Ralph was deeply appreciative of those who cared for him. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Maristone Assisted Living in Franklin and Alive Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and attentive care they provided. Your love and care for Ralph means more than you know.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.
Ralph's legacy of faith, service, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in the peace of God's eternal embrace.
