Kathryn "Kate" Louise Brown passed away peacefully at her home in Franklin, Tennessee, on June 9, 2026. She was born on October 14,1931, in Norman, IN, to the late Truman and Marie Wray.

Kate was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She also enjoyed a successful career in real estate and later found joy in helping women find just the right outfit while working at Talbots.

In her free time, Kate enjoyed knitting, crafting, playing tennis, and golf. She was an accomplished seamstress who could sew just about anything, and she took great pride in sharing her talents with family and friends.

Kate was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Brown, and her grandson, Kyle Kiihnl.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathi Wright and Joni Fox; her granddaughters, Katie Leonard (Rob), Hallie Gostkowski (Stephen), and Kelsey Fox; and her great-grandchildren, Slayden, Gannon, Lyla Kathryn, and Grace Gostkowski.

Kate leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. Her influence and cherished memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed.

A private ceremony will be held at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
