Carolyn J. Barnes

CJ was known for her strength, tenacity, and timeless sense of style. Her resilience and intelligence carried her through life’s challenges, while her creativeness left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Whether setting out on a road trip or enjoying quiet moments with loved ones, CJ found joy being with those around her. 

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Dana Carol Cutright (Tim) and Dawn Tayrell Senseney. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Payton Alexia Byers; Leslie Trent Hatchell; Cotey Treavor Hatchell; Jennifer Michelle Young; Sadi Thacker; and Christopher Senseney. Each carries forward a part of CJ’s enduring spirit—her creativity, strength, and deep love. 

CJ was preceded in death by her son, Jason Wayne Senseney. His memory remained deeply close to her heart throughout her life. 

Devoted to the well-being of her children and those she cherished, CJ brought warmth and wisdom into every room she entered. She lived with purpose and loved with depth.
