Carlson West Reese

Carlson West Reese passed away on July 5, 2026 at age 53.

He was born on Sept. 11, 1972 in Gallatin, TN.

Carlson was a 1991 graduate of Friendship Christian School in Lebanon, TN. He played baseball and was named to the All State team as a pitcher in '91. He went on to play baseball at Cumberland University.

Carlson loved the outdoors, he skied the Colorado mountains, bow hunted, was a gunsmith and an expert rifleman. He competed in long range shooting events across the Southeast. He loved life, his family, and was a dedicated employee at Carlex of America.

Carlson is survived by his father, William Dale Reese; mother, Cynthia Muse Binkley; brothers Brian Peyton Reese and Clinton Muse Binkley (Leanne); a daughter, Kelsea Martin; and 4 loving granddaughters: Elizabeth Jane McCall, Anniston Jay Martin, Scarlett James Roddy, and Taylor Jo Roddy, all of Hartsville.

In addition, Carlson leaves behind many cherished friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In honor of Carlson, donations can be made to Friendship Christian School in Lebanon, TN. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
