Betty Carol Mills, age 62, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1964, to the late Elijah Stafford Sr. and Carolyn Stafford.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her family above all else. She was married to her beloved husband, Tracy Mills, for 23 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, laughter, and countless memories.
Betty loved spending time with her family and could always be found enjoying the moments that brought everyone together. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She also enjoyed shopping, especially when she could find a good bargain. Her beloved dog, Blue Blue, held a special place in her heart, and of course, Betty never turned down a Pepsi.
But above everything else, her grandchildren were her world. She loved them fiercely and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. Her love for her family will continue to live on through the memories and traditions she leaves behind.
Betty is survived by her husband of 23 years, Tracy Mills; her children, Kenneth Rogers of Madison, TN; John (Stephanie) Rogers of Lafayette, TN; Josh Rogers of Portland, TN; Erich Powell (Dashai) of Portland, TN; Haley (Kris) Ford of Portland, TN; Jessie (Taylor) Todd of Hartsville, TN; and Noel (Jeremy) Hellings of Oklahoma City, OK; and her 17 beloved grandchildren.
She is also survived by her stepmother, Doris Stafford; and her siblings, Teresa (Rich) Shepler of Williamsport, TN; Donny Stafford of Westmoreland, TN; Laura (Mike) Moore of Sevierville, TN; Michelle Bolton of Westmoreland, TN; Robby Kling of Knoxville, TN; and Suzanne (Brandon) Dodson of Westmoreland, TN.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Stafford Sr. and Carolyn Stafford; her daughter, Carrie-Lynn Rogers; and her siblings, Jenny Stafford, Allen Stafford, Elijah Stafford Jr., and Kathy Roach.
Betty's greatest gift was the love she gave so freely to her family. Her laughter, her big heart, her love of a good bargain, her Pepsi in hand, and the love she had for her grandchildren will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
